An Israeli Arab female artist exploring the gaps, conflicts, limitations of the inter-cultural dialogue and the politics of identity.
As a woman living in a patriarchal society, and as an Arab citizen who used to live in a Jewish country, I have used my body in performance art as a material to reflect the social and emotional conflict in my personal life.
In her work, there is a constant resistance to the sexual and social roles played by her as a woman trying to find her identity as an artist.
These reasons and many more brought her to deal with the issues of identify, gender and sexuality so as to accomplish the things that are forbidden in her family, society and religion.
